I think that my three examples I will mention in this essay are the best examples of my writing. My first project was a letter to Toyota about hybrids/full electric cars. In the letter, I wrote what I knew about hybrids and some questions I had about full electric and hybrids. This stands out because not often would Toyota get a letter by a 10 year old girl about hybrids. I chose this because I thought I could get my questions answered if I sent a letter to Toyota. Although it might not have as much writing in it, I wrote only what I knew and I didn't go on to the Internet to find out more. I put the letter together in a way that makes my questions easy to understand. I have a link to this project. Click here to get it.
My second project was a power point about cars fueled on used vegetable oil. I had slides about, how used vegetable can be considered a fuel, where you get used vegetable oil, what cars it works on, and if it is illegal. This stands out because I have a lot of pictures to describe the details about certain slides. I chose to do a power point so I could show the significance of reusing something to make a fuel that comes from somewhere that probably is not as Eco-friendly. I layered details over details in my power point. You can view my power point here.
For my third project, I did a poster about Solar powered cars. I took facts and made them easy to understand. It stands out because my pictures drag people into reading my poster which hopefully causes them to look into more about Solar Powered Cars. This stands out because I explained more about the solar panel than what you would know already. My writing in this project has a lot of pictures to describe and further explain my facts. You can see my poster here.
These are my best examples of writing because I took time to word the projects in a way that is easy to understand. Also I put a lot of effort into the research part of the writing process. I made a decision about what to do for each project which I thought over carefully to make sure that it is the best decision for each topic. These are my best examples of writing and I hope that you agree.

Spring Break News

Over spring break, I went to California. My dad and I went to California while my brother and mom went to Alabama. California was colder than I expected. It was in the high 50s and low 60s. My aunt lives in California and my dad, uncle and I stayed in her apartment. We walked around the ocean and went into many different shops. It was a lot of fun!!
Multi-Genera Project Update
I am finishing up my 3rd multi-genre writing project. I am making a poster for solar powered cars. I just need to finish up outlining it and I need to put in pictures. I think I would say that I am on the publication part.

Multi-Genre Project
I am on my third Multi-Genre project and I am going to do a Glogster. My topic is on solar powered cars and I am just starting my rough draft. I think that this one may be my most difficult project because I have never made a Glogster before.

Weekend News

This weekend, on Saturday morning I got up to go to swim practice. Later that day my dad, brother, and I went to a book store. We went to a bookstore called Half Price Books. I got two books there, both were chapter books. That night, my mom and I saw the move The Blind Side, with Sandra Bullock. It was such a good movie, I could watch it over and over again.
I predict:
I predict that I will have breakfast at home, maybe run to some stores, and for sure, watch the super bowl on Sunday.

Weekend News
From last weekend to this weekend I was in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. While there, I swam in the ocean, swam in the pool, drank smoothies, and ate a lot! A highlight of my vacation was when I had my picture taken with parrots and a huge iguana. Something interesting that happened to me was when I went into the ocean, and the wave were so big that they made me flip over a couple of times. My favorite thing I did was jumping off big mounds of sand. The beach was under construction, so when they finished the work of "fixing" the beach there were large sand cliffs. While I was there I learned to play bocce ball, went shopping in the town, played Bingo, made bracelets, and many other things. Over all, I thought that my weekend/vacation was a lot of fun.

Weekend News
This weekend on Saturday in the evening, my mom, Ms. Glieden , Sally, and I started on our trip to Hutchinson. We were going to Hutchinson because Sally and I had a swim meet on Sunday. (Last year when my mom and I went to Hutchinson in the winter, our Map Quest was wrong and we couldn't see the roads. So this year we were going to stay at a hotel over night.) Once we got to our hotel, we checked in and went out for dinner. On Sunday morning I woke up at 6:15 in order to get to the 7:20 warn-up and to have breakfast. After the meet my mom and I went to target while Sally was swimming. (Because Sally turned 11 she swims in the afternoon, I swim in the morning because I am still 10) At Target I got a cute sun dress for when my family and I go to Mexico, and many other things. Once I got home I did my homework and had a dinner of chicken, carrots, and olive bread. After that I wrote this.
My prediction is that I will read and then go to bed.
